Chief Executive Officer
Martin Lyster took the reins as CEO of Agility PR Solutions in October of 2016. With over 20 years experience in technology and operations, and as a founding member and Chief Operations Officer at MediaMiser (now Agility PR Solutions) since 2003, Martin brings extensive PR technology experience to his role as CEO. Martin has participated in several acquisitions to date including the sale of MediaMiser to Innodata in 2014, the acquisition of Bulldog Reporter in 2014, and more recently the acquisition of Agility in 2016. He is a father of four and enjoys travelling back to Australia to visit family and stay in touch with his roots. Martin has a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from Curtin University of Technology.
Senior Vice President, Global Services
Chris Morrison hails from Ottawa, Canada where he graduated from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology with a diploma in public relations, advertising and applied communication in 1995. In 1999, Chris put his PR knowledge to work as a Senior Consultant with Hill + Knowlton Strategies where he remained until 2003. At this time, Chris joined the management team at MediaMiser and ultimately took on the role of company President. Chris’ public relations agency experience and his daily contact with customers were key to helping MediaMiser provide products and services that offer hands-on solutions for ever-evolving client needs. His managerial insights were instrumental in the company’s success and the acquisition of the Agility product. The roles he plays in overseeing a dedicated client services team, developing and delivering effective client training programs make him an integral part of the Agility PR Solutions leadership team. Chris lives on Vancouver Island with his wife and two children.
Vice President, North American Markets
Michele Putman was lured into the field of communications by a classmate while completing her MA at the University of Santa Monica. In 1999 she took on the role of in-house PR Manager for Skechers USA in their Manhattan Beach, California offices. There, she leveraged her public relations expertise to raise the company’s brand awareness in preparation for their eventual IPO. After this role, Michele went to work on the media intelligence side of the industry with Cision where she remained for 5 years. Upon moving back to Arizona, Michele took a position with Barclay Communications Agency where she worked on a multitude of campaigns for various local organizations. Returning to the consultant side of the industry, Michele moved to PR Newswire where she remained for a decade and advanced through the ranks to reach the position of Vice President, Customer Engagement. Fortunately, Michele and all her years of experience and knowledge, were part of the Agility acquisition in 2016. She now holds the title of Vice President of North American Markets at Agility PR Solutions where she manages the US sales team.
Managing Director, UK
Allison Murphy was born in Hawaii but grew up in Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Communication and Journalism from the University of Florida in 2003. Immediately upon graduation, Allison moved to New York and put her talents to work at Cision where she started as a National Account Coordinator and worked her way up to Account Development Manager over her four-year tenure. In 2007, Allison moved to PR Newswire and took on the role of Product Manager where she was an integral part of the product development team that created the Agility platform. In 2011, she moved across the pond to the UK to launch Agility in Europe. Allison’s ability to work with so many different people across all facets of the media measurement business make her the ideal person to head the team as Manager Director, UK for Agility PR Solutions. Allison takes full advantage of her proximity to France where she participates regularly in wine marathons.
Director of Client Success
Pragya Dubey is the Director of Client Success. She collaborates with clients to create objective based media-monitoring and media-analysis framework. “The client is always right,” is the guiding philosophy that drives Pragya in all her engagements both with clients and in guiding the Client Success team at Agility PR Solutions. She has over 15 years of experience encompassing the fields of public relations, media analytics, social media and media monitoring in Canada, the United States and India. Pragya has helped design innovative programs that deliver clear ROI and correlation to success metrics for clients that include companies such as, GE Capital, Air Canada, Bell Canada, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Loblaw Companies and Fidelity Investment. Pragya holds a Bachelors degree in Physics and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Mumbai. She has also taught in the Public Relations program at Algonquin College, Ottawa.
Director of Product Development
Diane Vuignier attended the University of Winnipeg where she graduated with a BSc, Mathematics in 1988 and went on to a Master’s Program in Mathematics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Diane spent 25 years working in telecommunications for Nortel Networks and Ciena playing many key roles including software developer, architect, product owner and software development manager before joining Agility PR Solutions as Director of Product Development. Diane has delivered leading edge software applications in multi-site fast paced environments. Diane is a strong proponent of devOps and test automation to help deliver software products quickly and improve operational performance once delivered to customers. Diane lives in Ottawa, Canada with her husband and two children where they spend time enjoying all the Canadian outdoors offers.
Director of Marketing
Dawn graduated from Queens University in Kingston with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Information Technology and has a certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University. Dawn has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of B2B marketing, primarily in the software industry. She has worked in increasingly senior roles within Cognos, IBM and most recently as the Head of Marketing, Cloud Security at Trend Micro. Dawn brings her years of marketing acumen to the leadership team at Agility PR Solutions. She lives in Ottawa, Canada and spends her free time outdoors with her dogs or training for triathlons.
Global Research Director
Paul leads the international research teams and oversees the evolution of the research platform, focusing on journalist relations. Paul has over 20 years of experience within data governance, information architecture, business process improvement, multilingual localisation and news taxonomy systems, entering the news and publishing industry in the mid-90s. Paul‘s educational background includes Prehistoric and Mediaeval Archaeology at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and a First class major in Danish language, Scandinavian and Old English Studies at The University of Hull.
Director, Media Insights
Jim Donnelly graduated with a BA in History/English from Wilfred Laurier University and a Masters, Journalism from Carleton University. Jim heads Agility PR Solutions’ Media Insights Group which helps to oversee the company’s content marketing efforts including the production of public media analysis reports and infographics, along with client-driven analysis projects, data stewardship, and media outreach efforts. Jim was previously editor of the Ottawa Business Journal and related publications such as Ottawa Technology Magazine and Meeting in the Capital. Jim also performed stints at publications such as Ottawa Magazine, the Toronto Sun and Frank Magazine. He has travelled extensively and stayed for extended periods in the U.K., Ireland and India. He lives in Ottawa, Canada with his wife and dog.
Director, Human Resources
Shirley Schiavo is originally from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. She moved to Ottawa with her husband to raise their family of four children. Shirley graduated in 2004 from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology’s Public Relations program. Upon graduation, the College hired her as their Orientation Officer where she remained for three years before joining the team at MediaMiser as a Media Analyst. As the company grew, so did Shirley’s role. She returned to Algonquin College and completed the Human Resources program and upon graduation was given the role of Manager, Human Resources. Her natural abilities as a people person, allow Shirley to collaborate with members of all different teams, making her the perfect fit for the role of Director, Human Resources at Agility PR Solutions. Her position has her serving teams across the globe including Canada, UK, US and Israel. Shirley lives in Ottawa, Canada where she loves to cook meals for her large family, read and eat chocolate while sipping white wine. She also enjoys getting away from the cold Canadian winters and spending time at her house in Florida.
Paul Williamson is originally from Coventry, UK and holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University. In January of 2000, Paul moved to Ottawa, Canada where he worked for six years at Nortak Software Ltd. In 2006, Paul became part of the MediaMiser IT team where he has remained for ten years. Through the years, Paul has been an integral part of MediaMiser’s growth from small start-up right through to the acquisition. Paul now holds the role of Director, IT for Agility PR Solutions.
Director of Sales
Lindsay Polak graduated in 2007 from Brock University with a BA Honours. Shortly after that time, she began her career at MediaMiser as a Senior Media Analyst on the Client Success team, and then moved up the ranks eventually becoming a Manager of Client Success. In 2012, Lindsay joined the sales team as an Account Executive. Lindsay has worked with nearly all MediaMiser’s clients both big and small and proved her abilities by continually smashing her sales quotas. This success and thorough knowledge of media monitoring and analysis made Lindsay the ideal candidate for the role of Director of Sales at Agility PR Solutions. Lindsay lives in Ottawa, Canada.
