Interpublic Group agency Golin announced the appointment of Clifford Lopez as managing director for its Dallas office, overseeing almost 100 employees. Lopez will elevate the market’s existing data and influencer marketing strengths, while enhancing the technology expertise that drive innovation and prompt stronger earned-first results for clients. He joined the firm on January 6 and reports to Ginger Porter, Midwest president.
Lopez brings more than 30 years of experience to Golin, leading integrated business strategies that combine earned media with insight-driven creative, to drive conversion and purchase. That experience has helped him deliver for brands like ABInbev, American Airlines, ExxonMobil, MasterCard, Nestle, P&G, Pepsi, Southwest Airlines, Toyota, the U.S. Army and Verizon.
As part of his first charge at Golin, Lopez will lean into Golin Dallas’ heritage as a world-class expert in technology, digital and analytics to champion stronger data-backed ideas that help grow its client roster. He’ll also help capitalize on the region’s corporate communications offering to create enhanced integration and deliver stronger client service.
“One of the traits we came to admire most was Clifford’s passion for helping us drive what’s next in Dallas and the agency,” said Porter. “Clifford brings a great deal of passion to everything he does – from helping our clients earn more attention, protect their reputations and drive sales to equipping our employees and harnessing the power of our Go All In culture.”
“When clients trust the deep insights behind the customer journey, their benefits are exponential,” said Lopez. “Golin has the tools and talent in place to support every stage of storytelling that will earn the attention of target audiences. I’m excited to join the agency when we can act nimble but still greatly affect the customer experience from initial interaction all the way to commerce.”
Prior to Golin, Lopez served as managing director of iCrossing. He also served as president of Optaros, a McCann (IPG) agency focused on ecommerce, as well as executive vice president and chief technology officer for MRM/McCann. Prior to his leadership roles within IPG, Lopez was a managing director of Tribal DDB.
