Ellipsis, a fast-growing communications advisory firm specializing in investor relations and strategic communications, announced its new brand. Founded in 2015 as JM Strategic Communications Group, the move to the Ellipsis banner reflects the firm’s differentiated positioning in a rapidly changing financial communications landscape that places a premium on how companies manage their dialogue and engagement with their key stakeholders.

The ellipsis is a fixture of communication in the mobile Internet age. It is used to invite conversation, to create intrigue, to say “more to come…” It symbolizes expectancy about where the dialogue is going next.

“We’re entering a period of accelerating, fundamental change in financial communications that will have a profound impact on public companies and those thinking about IPOs,” said Ellipsis president, Jeff Majtyka. “An array of technology, market and regulatory forces is bringing to the fore the importance of creative messaging and engagement with shareholders.  These are the areas in which we thrive, and that’s why it’s the right time for Ellipsis.””

Ellipsis serves companies across the corporate lifecycle, with its current client roster ranging from start-up to Fortune 50.  The firm provides investor relations, strategic communications, IPO services and corporate communications, with proven and current experience in such areas as quarterly earnings advisory, IPO readiness, corporate positioning, strategic M&A, proxy and corporate governance campaigns, and more.

Ellipsis distinguishes itself by its many long-term client partnerships, forged in the commitment of its senior professionals to every stage of the engagement.  The firm combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a young and growing consultancy with the experience of senior leaders who have served a Who’s Who of CEOs and industry pioneering companies.

Ellipsis is led by Jeff Majtyka, a trusted advisor to executives and communications leaders on the critical issues that impact their brands, reputation and valuation. Bob Jones, Managing Director of the New York office, blends experience as CEO of a large financial communications firm prior to its acquisition with a long-time role as communications and IR leader of a top consumer internet brand. The firm’s west coast operations are led by Anna Yen, Managing Director, who previously held executive IR positions inside of some of Silicon Valley’s most well-known brands and has navigated highly successful IPOs. Taylor Krafchik and Jenny Perales, in the New York office, are experienced public and investor relations professionals who implement and manage communications programs for Ellipsis clients across a variety of growth industries.
