Mixology Communications has been appointed PR, content marketing and communications advisors to Cambridge Cleantech and Oxfordshire Greentech.
The agreement will see the London-based integrated PR and communications agency support both organisations as they look to expand membership services and increase their focus on the Cleantech Venture Day series of networked events which connects innovative starts ups with responsible investors and corporates.
“This partnership is very much aligned to our commitment of helping innovative start-ups to scale at speed and to accelerate the early adoption of clean technology to tackle climate change,” said Andrew Laxton, CEO & Founder of Mixology.
Cambridge Cleantech and Oxfordshire Greentech have a combined membership of 350+ organisations covering the energy, transportation, construction, climate risk management, carbon accounting, and circular economy sectors.
Since 2006, more than 250 companies have pitched at CleanTech Venture Day securing £600m in funding.
The most recent event this month, hosted by Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank in Canary Wharf, saw 18 starts ups from the circular economy, transportation and carbon reduction, and clean energy sectors pitch to a packed audience of venture capital, fund management, and corporate investors.
The UK retained its position as the largest tech sector in Europe and the third largest CleanTech investment market in the world[1], raising £4.1billion during 2022 according to BloombergNEF research.
“Mixology has a great track record of advising brands that are shaping tomorrow,” commented Sam Goodall, Head of International Projects at Cambridge Cleantech.
“As we embark on our next chapter of growth, we felt it important to have a communications partner that can help reach new audiences and amplify our thought leadership.”
Hannah Scott, Network Manager of Oxfordshire Greentech, echoed:
“Through its approach to integrated communications, the team at Mixology has successfully enabled technology brands, from start-ups to large enterprises, to scale with impact and meaning. We’re excited to start this new partnership in 2023.”
