Mary Jane Miranda has been promoted to controller of Mower, one of the nation’s largest independent marketing, advertising and public relations agencies. She is based in the agency’s Buffalo office, where she has served on the accounting team for 30 years, most recently as senior financial supervisor.
“Mary Jane is a vital, long-standing member of Mower’s accounting team and it has been a delight to see her develop into the leader that she is today,” said Mower CFO Cheryl Duggan in making the announcement.
Over the three decades she has been with Mower, Miranda has gained valuable experience working on client contracts, real estate leases, general ledger work, financial analysis and media reconciliations. Her career also includes two years as a compliance analyst at Buffalo’s M&T Bank. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Canisius College.
A Buffalo native, Miranda lives in nearby Lancaster with her husband and two daughters.
