Nutricare Appoints The PHA Group as UK PR Agency

The PHA Group announced its appointment by healthcare company, Nutricare to work primarily on its award winning wound care brand, PATCH– the world’s first compostable adhesive strip plaster, to implement and manage its UK communications strategy.

One of London’s leading PR agencies, The PHA Group has been tasked with raising awareness of PATCH’s unique range of medical grade natural, hypoallergenic and compostable wound care solutions.

The agency will also be building the profile of the brand’s inspirational founder, James Dutton, showcasing his experience in organic healthcare and knowledge in sustainability.

James created the brand when his son, Charlie, suffered an adverse reaction to traditional plasters, which resulted in painful red blistering along his skin. Frustrated, James embarked on a mission to source a solution. Through his research, he discovered that Charlie wasn’t alone and that 25% of the global population suffer adverse reactions to traditional plasters. He also discovered that the plastic of alternative solutions on the market, when disposed of, creates billions of metres of plastic waste a year.

Made from bamboo fibres, PATCH is the only latex, paraben, sulphate, thimerosal/ merthiolate-free wound care product on the high street that is also fully compostable. This dedication to environmental protection has resulted in the brand being awarded the B-Corp, Best for The World (Environment) accreditation in 2019.

The PHA Group was appointed after they impressed the brand with their unique credentials spanning both sustainability and consumer healthcare, as well as their profiling experience, high-level journalist contacts and vast experience working with global brands.
