BuzzFeed: Doree Shafrir (@doree) has left.

Chicago Tribune: hires Christine Taylor (@chrissywtaylor) as Managing Editor, Audience. Peter Kendall (@pkendalltribune) moves to Managing Editor, Content.

New York Times: hires Alexandra March (@byalexmarch) as Newsletter Editor for the Opinion section.

Palm Beach Post: Tom Peeling (@pbpost) has retired.

Reuters: moves Liana Baker (@LianaBaker) to the shareholder activism and corporate governance beat in New York.

Washington Post: appoints Jason Rezaian (@jrezaian) as a Global Opinions Writer focusing on human rights and freedom of the press. Amy Gardner (@AmyEGardner) has been appointed Reporter on the political enterprise and investigations team.

Broadcasting

ABC News: hires Whit Johnson (@WhitJohnson) as a Correspondent in New York.

NPR: hires Ayesha Rascoe (@ayesharascoe) as White House correspondent, effective April 2.

WNBC-TV: hires Amy Morris (@nbcnewyork) as VP of news, replacing Susan Sullivan who took a position with the Standards & Practices department at NBC News.

Business and Commerce

American City Business Journals: appoints Mary Huss as Publisher of the Silicon Valley Business Journal, in addition to her current role as Publisher of the San Francisco Business Times (@SFBusinessTimes).

Business North Carolina: hires Taylor Wanbaugh (@TaylorWanbaugh) as Assistant Editor.

Consumer Lifestyle

Elle.com: hires Jessica Roy (@JessicaKRoy) as Deputy Editor.

Men’s Health: Alisa Hrustic (@alisaa_hrustic) has left. Brad Wieners (@BradWieners) has also left.

Healthcare and Medicine

AAMCNews: Eve Glicksman (@evewrites) has left to freelance.

Cannabis Wire: is set to launch as a subscription-based news organization covering the cannabis industry. The co-founders are Nushin Rashidian (@nushinrashidian) and Alyson Martin (@alysonrmartin). It will be hosted on Civil, a publishing platform set to launch this spring that will use blockchain technology.

Athletic, The: hires Richard Deitsch (@richarddeitsch) as a Writer covering sports media.

Runner’s World: hires Danielle Zickl (@danizickl) as Associate Health and Fitness Editor.
