Financial Times: promotes Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson (@Edgecliffe) to U.S. Business Editor.

McClatchy: appoints Kristin Roberts (@McClatchyDC) as Regional Editor for eight newspapers in the eastern U.S. They are the Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, Bradenton (Fla.) Herald, Macon (Ga.) Telegraph, Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer, Biloxi (Miss.) Sun Herald, Lexington (Ky.) Herald-Leader and Centre Daily Times (State College, Pa.). She will retain her current responsibilities as Executive Editor of the D.C. bureau.

New York Times: hires Marjorie Olster (@Marjolster) as a Senior Staff Editor on the International desk, effective March 1. She will work on Sunday coverage and coverage of the Middle East. Caitlin Roper (@caitlinroper) moves to a new role as Editorial Director of NYT Magazine Labs.

Wall Street Journal: promotes Tim Layer (@tim7layer) to Print Editor.

CNBC.com: hires Amanda Macias (@amanda_m_macias) as a National Security correspondent in D.C.

CNN: hires Stephanie Clary (@sclary) as Director of Social Publishing.

WNBC-TV: Susan Sullivan (@NBCNewYork) has left for an unspecified position with NBC News.

Business and Commerce

American Inno: launches Atlanta Inno, a website covering startups and technology companies in the Atlanta area. Madison Hogan (@MadisonHogan) joins as the site’s first Reporter. The publisher is part of American City Business Journals.

Barrons.com: John Kimelman (@barronsonline) has left.

Denver Business Journal: hires Rebecca Troyer (@TriadBizEditor) as Editor-in-Chief.

Fast Company: hires Stephanie Mehta (@stephaniemehta) as Editor, effective March 5.

Institutional Investor: will cease print publication and move to an all-digital model, effective April 1 (@iimag).

Consumer Lifestyle

Teen Vogue: hires Karina Hoshikawa (@thekarihoshi) as Beauty News Editor.

Vanity Fair: hires Claire Howorth (@clairehoworth) as Deputy Editor.

Healthcare and Medicine

Advantage Business Media: hires Catherine Sbeglia (@PharmProcessing) as Associate Editor of Pharmaceutical Processing and Chem.Info. She works from the Madison, Wis. office.

UBM Medica: appoints Todd Shryock (@Dx_imaging) as Editor of Diagnostic Imaging.

Colorado Politics: hires Mark Harden (@MHardenDenBiz) as Managing Editor.
