Atlantic, The: hires Taylor Lorenz (@TaylorLorenz) as Technology and Culture Reporter. Ellen Cushing (@elcush) has been named Senior Tech Editor.

Buffalo News: Denise Jewell Gee (@DeniseJewellGee) is now Assistant Managing Editor, overseeing news and business coverage.

HuffPost: moves Lauren Weber (@laurenweberhp) to a new role as an Enterprise Reporter covering “pandemics, infectious disease and emerging public health threats.”

New York Times: hires Li Yuan (@nytimes) as an Asia technology Columnist. She works from Hong Kong. Sydney Ember (@melbournecoal) moves to the politics team.

Time: hires Emma Barker (@emmajune) as Features Editor.

Wall Street Journal: appoints John Stoll (@johndstoll) as a Saturday Business Columnist.

Washington Post: hires Shibani Mahtani (@ShibaniMahtani) as a Southeast Asia Correspondent in Hong Kong.

Business Insider: hires Lauren Johnson (@LaurenJohnson) as Senior Advertising Reporter.

Denver Business Journal: Kourtney Geers (@kourtneygeers) has been appointed Managing Editor, effective June 11.

Phoenix Business Journal: Ilana Lowery (@phxbizjournal) has left.

Glamour: hires Christina Coleman (@ChrissyCole) as News and Culture Director.

Harper’s Bazaar: appoints Amy Synnott (@amysynnott) as Executive Editor.

Men’s Health: hires Melissa Matthews (@m_matthews) as an Online Staff Writer.

WWD: promotes Kali Hays (@wwd) to Media Editor. Alexa Tietjen (@hernameislex) has been promoted to Beauty/Digital Editor.

American Hospital Association: will cease publication of Trustee magazine in June. Trustee Insights, a quarterly digital publication, will increase frequency to bimonthly. Both publications are targeted at hospital board members (@ahahospitals).

Bloomberg Law: hires Rebecca Baker (@RBakerNY) as Managing Editor for intellectual property law. She’s also president of the Society of Professional Journalists.
