Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Russell Grantham (@ajc) has left.

Time: hires Jamie Ducharme (@Jamie_Ducharme) as a News Reporter covering health.

Washington Examiner: hires Laura Barrón-López (@lbarronlopez) as a Senior Political Reporter focusing on Democrats.

Washington Post: moves Abha Bhattarai (@abhabhattarai) to the retail beat.

Broadcasting

ABC News: promotes Steven Baker (@stevenrbaker) to Executive producer of “Nightline,” replacing Roxanna Sherwood (@rzsherwood), who became an executive producer with “Good Morning America.” Eric Johnson (@Johnsonerich) and Jenna Millman (@jennamillman) are now Senior Broadcast Producers for “Nightline.”

MSNBC: launches “Kasie DC,” a Sunday evening news and politics program hosted by Capitol Hill Correspondent Kasie Hunt (@kasie). Segment Producer Kendall Breitman (@KendallBreitman) has moved from New York to D.C. to work on the program.

Business and Commerce

Business Insider: promotes Nicholas Carlson (@nichcarlson) to Chief Content Officer and Global Editor-in-Chief, overseeing editorial operations for the entire company. He replaces Henry Blodget, who will become Editorial Director. Julie Zeveloff (@jzeveloff) will continue to oversee Insider as Executive Editor.

Financial Times: launches “Swamp Notes,” a twice-weekly e-newsletter covering money, politics and power in the U.S. Columnists Rana Foroohar (@RanaForoohar) and Edward Luce (@EdwardGLuce) are the primary contributors.

Marketplace hires Evelyn Larrubia (@elarrubia) as Executive Editor of News. Sitara Nieves (@sitaranieves) is now Executive Director of Marketplace On Demand, overseeing podcasts. Both moves are effective Nov. 6.

Consumer Lifestyle

Hearst: agrees to acquire Rodale’s book and magazine properties, including Prevention, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Runner’s World, Organic Life and Bicycling. The titles will become part of Hearst Magazines. The deal is expected to close in early 2018.

StyleCaster: hires Nikki Brown (@MissNikkiBrown) as Beauty Editor.

Culture, Entertainment and the Arts

Columbia Journalism Review: hires Mathew Ingram (@mathewi) as Chief Digital Writer, effective Nov. 1.

Healthcare and Medicine

Drug Store News: hires Seth Mendelson (@DrugStoreNews) as Associate Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, replacing Rob Eder.

Medqor: hires Dillon Stickle (@SleepReview) as Associate Editor of Sleep Review and RT: For Decision Makers in Respiratory Care.

Politics, Government and Education

Atlantic, The: promotes Sarah Yager to Deputy Executive Editor. She will oversee cross-platform projects. Adrienne Green (@AdrienneNGreen) replaces Sarah as Managing Editor. Adrienne had been involved in overseeing online features and special reports. The moves are effective in the next few weeks.

Politico: promotes Mike Zapler (@mikezapler) to Deputy Managing Editor.

Sports and Leisure

Pocket Outdoor Media: acquires the media properties of Competitor Group, including Triathlete (@TriathleteMag), VeloNews (@velonews) and Women’s Running (@Womensrunninguk). POM is a recently formed company in Boulder, Colo., co-owned by former VeloNews owner Felix Magowan. Competitor Magazine, which recently rebranded as Competitor Running (@RunCompetitor) has ceased print publication. Ironman/World Triathlon Corporation acquired Competitor Group in June.

Technology and Telecoms

The Verge: hires Laura Hudson (@laura_hudson) as Culture Editor.

Alphaville: Izabella Kaminska (@izakaminska) has been named Editor.

Daily Telegraph: Edward Malnick (@edwardmalnick) has been appointed Whitehall Editor.

Financial Times: David Bond (@DJBond6873) and John Reed (@JohnReedwrites) have been appointed Security & Defence Editor and Bangkok Regional Correspondent respectively. Sam Jones (@samgadjones) is on study leave until 2018.

Northern Despatch, The: has relaunched by the team behind the Northern Echo (@TheNorthernEcho). It will cover Darlington, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Willington and Newton Aycliffe.

St Helen’s Star: has moved to new offices at Century House, Hardhsaw Street (@sthelensstar).

BBC News Online: Alex Taylor (@Tayloredword) has joined as a Journalist.

BBC Radio Sheffield: Simon Thake (@sithake) has been appointed Breakfast Producer.

BBC World Service: Ellis Palmer (@ellispalmer94) has been named Senior Broadcast Journalist.

Bloomberg: Stephanie Flanders (@mystephanomics) has been named Senior Executive Editor and Head of Bloomberg News. Laura Benitez (@lauralevfinance) has been appointed Leveraged Finance Reporter. Advieth Nair (@Adveith) has been appointed Editor, EMEA Newsdesk.

Drivetime with Kally Davies and Josh Andrews: Josh Andrews (@joshandrews1) has joined Drivetime as a Presenter.

Look North (East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire): Katy Austin (@KatyAustinNews) has been named Correspondent.

Question Time: Hilary O’Neill (@hilarymv) has been appointed Editor.

Dazed & Confused: Anna Cafolla (@AnnaCafolla) has been promoted to News and Features Editor.

ELLE: Felicity Kay (@ELLEUK) has been promoted to Junior Fashion Editor.
