HuffPost: Ann Brenoff (@HuffPost) has retired.

New York Times: hires Ali Winston (@awinston) as a Metro Reporter. Liz Day joins as Senior Story Editor for “The Weekly,” the paper’s forthcoming news program.

Wall Street Journal: promotes Jonathan Rockoff (@jonathanrockoff) to Deputy Chief of the Health & Science bureau.

Washington Post: hires Cat Zakrzewski (@washingtonpost) as Editor of a new PowerPost newsletter that will cover the intersection of national politics and Silicon Valley. Topics will include tech policy, competition among big tech companies and the role of social media is news distribution. She begins August 20 and will be based in D.C. Ben Strauss (@benjstrauss) joins as a Reporter on the sports desk, effective Sept. 4. He will focus on sports and media.

ABC News: hires Kevin Wildes (@kevinwildes) as Executive Producer of “GMA Day,” the third hour of “Good Morning America.”

Fox News: hires Jacqui Heinrich (@JacquiHeinrich) as a General Assignment Reporter in New York, effective Sept. 4.

Barron’s: Tiernan Ray (@barronsonline) has left.

Considerable: launches as a website covering personal finance and lifestyle topics for people in their 50s and 60s. The major content areas are “Family & Home,” “Money,” “Work,” “Pursuits” and “Health & Wellness.” It’s currently in soft-launch mode with a formal rollout slated for September. Diane Harris (@dianeharris) is the Founder and Editorial Director.

Fast Company: promotes Kathleen Davis (@KathleenEDavis) to Deputy Online Editor.

Sacramento Business Journal: hires Felicia Alvarez (@Sacbiz) as a Healthcare Reporter.

San Francisco Business Times: appoints Kevin Truong (@kevinbtruong) to the healthcare beat.
