Los Angeles Times: hires Janet Hook (@hookjan) as Chief Political Writer in the D.C. bureau.

U.S. News & World Report: launches “Wealth of Knowledge,” a weekly podcast covering personal finance, investing, careers and related topics. It’s hosted by Consumer Advice Editor Antonio Barbera (@antonio_barbera).

Wall Street Journal: hires Jim Jaworski (@Jim_Jaworski) as Senior Platform Editor. He will work Saturday through Tuesday evenings. Wall Street Journal moves Asa Fitch (@asafitch) to the San Francisco bureau, where he will cover advanced technologies such as chipmaking and artificial intelligence.

Washington Post: moves Avi Selk (@aviselk) to the features team, where he will work as a Style Reporter. Washington Post launches The Technology 202, a daily e-newsletter covering technology policy. It’s part of the 202 franchise, which also includes newsletters covering policy issues in health, finance, energy and cybersecurity. Cat Zakrzewski (@Cat_Zakrzewski) is the primary contributor. Chelsea Janes (@chelsea_janes) and Sean Sullivan (@WaPoSean) move to the National Politics campaign team.

Aging Media Network: hires Bailey Bryant (@HHCareNews) as a Reporter for Home Health Care News.

Medscape: hires Ivan Oransky (@ivanoransky) as VP, Editorial.
