Associated Press: hires Alexandra Jaffe (@ajjaffe) as a Political Reporter in Iowa.

New York Times: hires Zolan Kanno-Youngs (@KannoYoungs) as a D.C.-based Correspondent covering homeland security and immigration and border issues. New York Times promotes Roe D’Angelo to News Editor for the Business section. New York Times has revealed details about “The Weekly,” its forthcoming TV program. It will air on FX with subsequent streaming on the FX website and Hulu. The first season will consist of 30 half-hour episodes, each focusing on one story and the reporter behind it. The producers discussed the program during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif.

Reuters: appoints Helen Coster (@hcoster) as a Media Correspondent.

Wall Street Journal: appoints Julie Jargon (@juliejargon) as Tech & Families Columnist. She’s based in L.A.


Bloomberg News: moves Gerrit De Vynck (@GerritD) to the Google/Alphabet beat. He’s based in New York.

NPR: promotes Natalie Winston (@nataliewins1) to Executive Producer of the weekend edition of “All Things Considered.” NPR promotes Scott Horsley (@HorsleyScott) to Chief Economics Correspondent.

Forbes: hires Monica Melton (@Immelty) as an Assistant Editor for Innovation. Her coverage will also include cybersecurity and venture capital.
