by | Jan 25, 2018 | Marketing, Public Relations

Keeping up with the times is as important today as it ever was, therefore using online marketing strategies that were successful five or ten years ago may no longer be advisable.

In the last year, Facebook users have spent 68 percent of their time liking, posting and commenting on the social network from a mobile device, and this statistic alone suggests that the time when successful brands could afford not to use mobile ads in their online marketing campaigns seems to be behind us.

Furthermore, an astounding 88 percent of advertising revenue on Facebook is generated by mobile ads. Other social media platforms like Instagram or Twitter offer a huge mobile marketing market in their own right to companies that want to extend the reach of their products.

2018 will bring the continued growth in popularity of online video content. The numbers of mobile video views will reach historic numbers by the end of 2018. In addition, as much as 48 percent of millennials watch videos exclusively on their Smartphones, which makes the production of mobile video ads even more important than it already is.

Mobile native video advertising has proven to be an efficient and non-intrusive way of reaching new clients, which is the reason why brands of all sizes should incorporate it into their marketing campaigns. Native video ads fit right into their environment and companies that decide to utilize them can expect a 14 percent higher ad engagement rate.
