On September 8th, Fashion Canada Curated will host a soft launch event for its campaign designed to celebrate the success of Canadian fashion and to promote Canada as a premier shopping destination.

The cocktail event will feature a panel discussion on the rise of Canadian fashion brands.

Fashion Canada is a passion project co-founded by two proud Canadians both living and working in the fashion/media space in New York City with over 25 years of combined event and marketing experience: Alyson Roy and Maureen Martin. Alyson runs one of the top fashion and beauty PR Firms in the country, AMP3 PR, and Maureen is a business development strategist with a proven track record in product placement and celebrity integration.

“When people think of Canadian fashion, they tend to identify it with puffy outerwear and not much more,” says Co-Founder, Maureen Martin, “What they don’t know is that there is so much more to us than that—there is a thriving fashion scene that we’re aiming to elevate and bring to the forefront.”

“Canadian fashion has been having a major moment thanks to celebrities like Meghan Markle favoriting several Canadian brands,” echoes Alyson Roy, Co-Founder of Fashion Canada Curated, “Our goal is to give Canada a spotlight during New York Fashion Week, and to continue to highlight both rising and established Canadian brands throughout the year including food, wine, travel and culture.”

The Fashion Canada Curated soft launch event will take place in New York at Indochino ’s showroom in SoHo on September 8th from 7pm-9pm, featuring Canadian cuisine courtesy of Mile End Deli.

Confirmed Canadian panelists include Drew Green (the President and CEO of Canadian bespoke suiting brand Indochino), Lauren Chan (Former Glamour Magazine Fashion Editor and Current Plus Size Model / Advocate), Lisa Aharon (Celebrity Makeup Artist), Isabel Slone (Fashion Features Editor for FASHION Magazine in Canada), and moderator Bradford How (TV Host & former MuchMusic VJ), with more to be announced.
