BGB Group Promotes Longtime Pharma Marketing Leader Teresa Day to President

by | Feb 24, 2023

BGB Group (BGB), a New York City–based award winning pharma marketing firm, is pleased to announce the naming of Teresa Day as the agency’s new president.

Over a span of more than a decade at BGB, Day has been instrumental in driving significant agency growth by building high-performing, innovative, results-driven client teams and effective business processes. Day joined BGB as vice president of client services in 2010 and since then has held positions with increasing leadership responsibility in the agency.

In her most recent position as chief operating officer, she led the daily business operations of the agency, managing administrative and client business departments and working closely with BGB’s senior leadership team to guide the company’s vision, growth, and strategic priorities.

“Teresa’s dedication and commitment to building outstanding operational teams and delivering the best possible service to our clients is clear to all,” said Gregory Passaretti, a founding partner at BGB Group. “Over the years, she has consistently proven to be an exceptional leader that our people look up to. Her teams will say that she is brilliant without ego, provocative without being distracting, direct while being kind. We are excited for this next phase of growth and look forward to seeing Teresa transition to the role of president at BGB.”

Day is recognized at the agency as a hands-on leader and is described by many of her colleagues as the “the one who keeps the BGB engine running.” Along with running day-today agency operations, she has been focused over the last two years on helping to build organizational infrastructure to allow for the agency’s expansion into new capabilities and service lines, including payer marketing, market access, and scientific consulting.

“This is an exciting time to be part of BGB,” said Teresa Day, newly appointed president of BGB Group. “Over the years, we’ve expanded our client offering and built a strong work culture that has continued to fuel the incredible success we’ve experienced. I’m so grateful to be part of such a talented and inspiring team, and I’m honored to lead the company into the future as its new president.”

Day brings several decades of experience in pharma marketing to her new role, particularly in medical communications and promotional advertising, along with an educational background in healthcare-focused marketing, having completed her MBA and MHA degrees at the University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University. This new appointment comes at a time when the agency has experienced tremendous growth. Over the past year, BGB has added and expanded several key leadership roles, including the appointment of its first ever chief digital officer and chief of business integration.
