Branded Content Agency Fanology Wins Clio and Acquires Production Co. roster.la

by | Jun 25, 2018

Fanology, a full-service branded content studio that helps brands define their story, build their influence and activate their fans, has recently acquired roster.la, a Los Angeles based production company known for its creative commercial work with P&G, Kimberly Clark, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Chrysler.

“The acquisition of roster.la and their partnership with a long list of directors, producers and photographers has strengthened our bench of extraordinary talent and strategically diversified our expertise which includes sports, entertainment, automotive, lifestyle, beauty and wellness and social good,” said Richard Janes, founder and managing Partner of Fanology.

“We are thrilled to join the talented storytellers at Fanology,” said Roman Wyden, Fanology executive producer and partner and former owner of roster.la. “It is exciting to create breakthrough video content and now add Fanology’s deep understanding of building communities to amplify it far and wide with social, paid and earned media,” he added.

The growing Fanology team, whose clients include Toyota, City National Bank, Rogers & Cowan, and numerous advertising, digital, experiential and public relations agencies, also recently won a Clio Award for content created on behalf of Toyota. The content was part of a 50-piece broadcast, digital and social campaign Fanology created for the Winter Olympics. Featuring Team Toyota Olympians and Paralympians, the campaign included sharable human stories distributed across the brand’s website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap and YouTube channels.

Fanology has zeroed in on the gap between commercial and TV production companies which don’t have social media capabilities and digital agencies without the ability to produce high quality video and photography content. Bringing these two worlds together, Fanology’s in-house team nimbly creates top quality content born from experienced digital strategists that engage consumers through social media as well as high touch community management. Fanology then amplifies this work through both earned and paid media, giving their clients’ stories maximum multi-channel impact.

Fanology senior team members who lead Fanology’s award winning work and business development include A.J. Lewis, CCO and Partner, Amy Janes, Executive Producer and Partner, Carline Jorgensen, CMO, and recent hire Chris Strompolos, Director of Agency Operations.
