This year at The Nationals—a building industry event honoring the best in sales, marketing and design—The Brandon Agency’s campaigns for RiverLights earned silver in two categories—“Best Welcome Center” and “Best Sales Promotion.”

In the “Best Welcome Center” category, Newland Communities relied on branding expertise from The Brandon Agency to help shape the overall concept of the RiverLights Information Center. Collaborating with the RiverLights team for more than a year before the welcome center was officially opened, the agency helped to develop a chic coastal-inspired area to exemplify the lifestyle. The center features information about home offerings, a custom map of the community built atop an actual boat, the local tide chart and calendar of community events. The center was built with an open concept that flows into a cozy coffee shop, Magnolia Social Café, to serve as a welcoming space for visitors.

As part of the campaign to introduce RiverLights, Wilmington, N.C.’s premier coastal community, The Brandon Agency worked to develop the “Holiday Festival of Homes” event, held in December 2016. This event was recognized in the “Best Sales Promotion” category. A holiday themed grand opening, the event featured lights, holiday décor, live music, local vendors, pictures with Santa Claus and a festive 10K run to showcase the neighborhood layout. Builders and realtors were able to showcase the home offerings in a warm and welcoming environment, resulting nearly 1,000 leads from this one-day event.

“We are proud that our work for the RiverLights Information Center and Festival of Homes was selected for these prestigious awards,” said Andy Kovan, account planning & brand development director at The Brandon Agency. “Both of these efforts highlight the unique value RiverLights brings to the community and future residents.”

RiverLights, 1,400-acre planned mixed-use community located in Wilmington, N.C., offers a unique lifestyle that combines tranquility and adventure with miles of trails, eight local parks, docks, a 38-acre freshwater lake and multiple residential home options all along the Cape Fear River.
