Child’s Play Communications, specialists in public relations and social media for products and services for kids and parents – and consumer technology — announced a partnership with e-commerce experts Coleburn & Associates to provide significantly expanded services to current and future clients.
The new program will create opportunities for companies of all sizes to impact their sales on Amazon.com, the world’s leading online marketplace. Capabilities encompass full Amazon account management, with an emphasis on product content, presentation, search results, Amazon advertising and promotional planning, and conversion.
“Successful public relations is largely about the right messaging, in the right media,” said Child’s Play president, Stephanie Azzarone. “Much the same is true about success on Amazon—the sales message has to be persuasive, and presented in the most effective context within the site.”
Azzarone expects the new service to be particularly useful for toy companies. Coleburn & Associates is headed by managing director Will Coleburn, who spent 25 years in the toy industry, including roles as CEO of Kid Galaxy and president of Toy State International, where he implemented a marketing strategy that increased the company’s Amazon sales ten-fold.
Azzarone and Coleburn previously partnered when Child’s Play Communications was the public relations agency of record for both Kid Galaxy and Toy State.
“People automatically think of Amazon as a great sales venue. It’s also an exceptional marketingvehicle – an ideal platform to position a product to a mass audience,” said Coleburn. “Our 12-plus years of experience with Amazon means we understand how the company’s internal systems work and how to use the tools available to best motivate consumers to buy.”
Coleburn & Associates will also continue to service clients independently while Child’s Play will also manage public relations and social media programs for companies not in need of Amazon-related services.
