Current Marketing Starts 2019 Strong with Trio of New Business Wins

Chicago-based Current Marketing, part of Interpublic Group of Companies, announced the addition of Alternative Apparel, Hayward and Entertainment One to its client roster.

Founded in 1995 and acquired by HanesBrands in 2017, Alternative Apparel is a fashion lifestyle brand best known for comfort, simplicity and its commitment to sustainability. Current’s work will focus on reinvigorating the brand with energy, authenticity and refreshed storytelling thatdrives product awareness among key stakeholders.

Further strengthening Current’s home and backyard category portfolio, Hayward Industries has been a global market leader in the swimming pool equipment industry since 1925. Helping to build awareness of simple yet transformative pool and spa upgrades through strategic storytelling is Current’s charge, especially as the pool equipment marketplace is rapidly being transformed by connected technology.

Entertainment One (eOne) is a Toronto-based global creator, producer and distributor of entertainment properties spanning television, music, movies and online. Current’s work will focus on its Family & Brands division, for which the agency will build awareness and momentum for two of the hottest properties in children’s entertainment, Peppa Pig and PJ Masks. With a mix of creative content, media outreach and influencer engagement, Current will keep eOne’s preschool brands front and center with kids and their parents.

All three accounts will be supported by Current’s office in New York under the leadership of Eric Slutsky, an executive vice president at the agency.
