Scout Lab — in partnership with People For The American Way — is launching Trunks For Change, a campaign announcing that elephants are cutting party ties, and instead voting on three key issues: abortion, gun reform and climate. The campaign is focused on voter enablement and issue advocacy. The message is simple: act like a gentle giant, vote like an apex predator.
In addition to voter enablement, the campaign will hold an auction with all proceeds going to PFAW. The auction will include work from well-known creators and artists.
The campaign is in recognition of National Elephant Appreciation Day – September 22, 2024.
“Young voters are critical to the outcome of this election, and it’s imperative we take fresh approaches to urge them to make their voices heard. We’re excited to collaborate with Scout Lab on the launch of Trunks For Change, which invites all young and undecided voters to learn about key issues and vote for Kamala Harris this November,” said Svante Myrick, President of PFAW. “With our freedoms and the future of our democracy at stake, this election season isn’t about voting on party lines, it’s about voting for a vibrant future where all can thrive.”

“This is the most important election in American history and we need every voter at the polls to ensure the best outcome for our collective future,” said Kaitlyn Barclay, Co-Founder and CEO of Scout Lab. “Partnering with People for the American Way is a dream, and we’re humbled to be able to leverage both our platforms and creativity to bring this campaign to life. While we’ve taken a bit of a humorous approach, it cannot be understated how important it is to register to vote and get out there on November 5.”
