PARTNERSHIP WILL SPAN STRATEGIC MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAMS WORLDWIDE
WE Communications (WE), a leading global integrated communications consultancy, today announced its appointment by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), an international nonprofit, multistakeholder organization that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests, as its global creative agency following a competitive pitch. This marks the first time that the organization has consolidated its international creative duties under one agency.
Under its new remit, WE will partner with FSC to support brand-building campaigns and content, including strategic planning and consultation, social media content development, as well as video and creative production, to reach both consumers and businesses across the globe.
“Without healthy and resilient forests, the world will lose the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. With much need to rise to the challenge, FSC needs a single partner that brings creative excellence, a deep understanding of the sustainability sectors and solid strategic thinking to the table. WE demonstrated all that and showed a proven understanding of integrated communications, emotional storytelling and a great alignment with our mission that puts forests and people first,” said Trevor Armel, Global Marketing Director, FSC. “We trust their expertise to help extend our reputation as the most credible validation of forest stewardship.”
“As passionate advocates of sustainability, we are delighted to work with FSC,” said Daniel Blank, EMEA Head of Integrated Marketing, WE. “From the beginning, we approached this as a truly global assignment, putting together an international team of experts from multiple markets to deliver best-in-class work.”
WE’s International Borderless Experience Team, formed in October 2022, led the proposal development and is responsible for ongoing stewardship of the FSC global program. Composed of senior leadership expertise from across the agency with FSC hubs established in Germany, UK and Australia, the global decentralized team provides data capabilities, strategic insights and creative execution. In addition, the team is supported by local market creatives, strategists, designers, social media experts and content creators.
“I’m very happy that FSC saw the passion and capabilities WE has to deliver top-notch creative and strategic work that is fully integrated across all relevant marketing and communications disciplines,” said Blank. “We look forward to doing our part in driving change together with such an important NGO.”
