PR Talent, the nation’s largest communications specialist search firm, has hired Julie Dixon to build its presence in Washington, D.C. and the Southeast. Dixon brings more than 25 years of PR experience to the role including serving as the Deputy Managing Director for Golin’s Baltimore and Richmond offices and Consumer Practice Director for those offices as well as Washington, D.C.
“Julie is extremely well connected in Washington and has a deep network that extends throughout the D.C. Metro Area and the Southeast,” said PR Talent President Jim Delulio. “We give our clients a competitive advantage by having on-the-ground recruiters who have intimate knowledge of their markets.”
While building expertise in all aspects of communications throughout her career, Dixon also served as Executive Director of Diversity/Inclusion Recruitment for Golin.
She has degrees in Advertising and Broadcasting, and has recruited, interviewed, hired, and developed team members at all professional levels. As the head of PR Talent’s Washington, D.C. and Southeast operations, Julie will leverage that expertise to help clients assess their talent needs and then match talent to task.
“The D.C. Metro Area and the Southeast are hot markets with talent demands spanning PR agencies, public affairs shops, associations, government entities, major corporations, and impressive Universities and Colleges specializing in communications,” said Dixon. “As an industry connector, I know the requirements of these organizations are complex, because the communications landscape is radically changing and the demands to keep up are intense. I’m thrilled to be part of the PR Talent team, and to use my resources to benefit clients and candidates.”
Dixon, an alum of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is a member of the Board of Advisors for UNC’s Hussman School of Media and Journalism and a NC Hall of Fame Publicist.
