by | Jan 18, 2024

RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 18, 2024) —  French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s largest independently held PR, advertising and digital media agencies, today announced two of its marketing campaigns were recognized among the best in the animal health care industry at the 2023 VETTY Awards® program.

FWV received Gold Medals for the following public relations campaigns:

  • FWV Secures Record-Breaking Media Interest for Global Pet Expo 2023
  • FWV Supports the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) First Annual Eye Exam Event in Full Capacity Since COVID-19

Dedicated to recognizing marketing excellence in the animal health care industry, the VETTY Awards® invite veterinary industry nonprofit and for-profit organizations and agencies throughout the globe to submit their projects for consideration during the annual awards program.

This year’s participation reached record numbers, with entries focused on campaigns that promote animal health industry contributions designed to keep furry, feathered and scaly friends healthy and happy. Each entry was reviewed by a judging panel comprised of leaders in the creative marketing field.

“We are proud of the amazing work that those in marketing and advertising are accomplishing in the animal health care industry. This year’s entries proved beyond excellent, showcasing many of the advancements in animal medicine, a deeper understanding of the animal health audience, developments in technology and memorable creative campaigns,” said North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) CEO Gene O’Neill. “VETTY Awards® winners like FWV are truly the ‘best of show’ and capture the talent and creativity across our industry in supporting the veterinary profession and promoting products and services that improve the lives of animals.”

The NAVC, the world’s leading not-for-profit dedicated to supporting the global veterinary health community, introduced the VETTY Awards® competition in 2017 to recognize and reward the marketing excellence that helps fuel the rapidly growing animal health industry. Today, it is a prestigious awards program, pulling entries from around the world and recognizing the best in marketing animal health care products, programs and services.

FWV was among the VETTY Awards® winners recognized during VMX 2024, the world’s largest gathering of veterinary industry professionals. Taking place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from Jan. 13-17, VMX featured one of the largest veterinary industry expos in the world, as well as world-class entertainment and networking events.

“Attending VMX is a rewarding and beneficial experience each and every year but taking home two VETTY Awards® on behalf of the agency made this year’s event even more fulfilling,” said Kristen Levine, practice leader of FWV Fetching, the division of FWV dedicated to pet and animal health marketing.“Congratulations to all of the winners – we are proud to be listed alongside organizations doing important, industry-leading work in the pet and animal health care space!”

Headquartered in Raleigh, FWV has amassed more than 1,600 PR, advertising and digital marketing awards on behalf of a blue-chip client roster. FWV is the most decorated agency in the history of the Southeastern U.S.
