Global Communications Agency J/PR Launches New Affiliate, 20Two Studio

by | Dec 6, 2021

20Two Studio, a new agency built by some of the industry’s most creative storytellers introduces its inspired identity and ethos. Launched and powered behind the scenes by J/PR, 20Two Studio (The Studio) is a creative storytelling studio focused on public relations and social media strategy for established and emerging hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, wellness and travel-related tech brands. Lauren Knudsen, a 15-year veteran of J/PR, will lead the agency as President.

The ethos of The Studio is inspired by the number 22, which is considered to be a master number focused on accomplishment at the highest level. The number carries the energy of duality which is demonstrated through The Studio’s dedication to creative thinking and ROI-driven approach. The number also symbolizes adaptability and insight which drive the agency’s innovation and strategic approach to creative relations, and the results it is already delivering for its nearly one dozen clients.

Knudsen, The Studio’s President, is an industry force who expertly blends creativity and innovation with her passion for building, repositioning and elevating global luxury/lifestyle hospitality brands and hotels. A 15-year leader within the J/PR organization, Knudsen played an integral role in every facet of the affiliate agency’s foundation, clients, business and growth and has spearheaded the successful development, launch and day to day client initiatives of this new endeavor.

“Innovating in the hospitality spaces has always been a career passion,” said 20Two Studio President Lauren Knudsen. “Being able to do it once again, leading the launch of a new agency with the support of my beloved J/PR family and the incredible founding 20Two Studio team behind me is extremely exciting.”

Knudsen oversees The Studio’s current account team with footprints in New York City, Los Angeles and San Diego, including: Alexa Forshay, a 5-year J/PR veteran and senior account supervisor; Allie Swearingen, who started her career with J/PR before joining as a publicity assistant; and Helena Kevorkian, a well-rounded lifestyle publicist. The Studio’s impressive client roster includes hotel brands like Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts and boutique hotels from coast to coast, including: The Roundtree, Amagansett; Royal Palms Resort & Spa; Noelle Nashville; L’Auberge Del Mar; Kona Kai Resort & Spa; The Plaza Hotel El Paso Pioneer Park and Palacio Provincial.

20Two Studio is backed and powered by privately held J/PR, owned and led by partners Jamie O’Grady and Sarah Evans. J/PR is at the forefront of the communications industry in continued innovation, client relations and retention, and award-winning PR and social media campaigns on behalf of some of the world’s leading luxury travel, hospitality and lifestyle brands.

“The past two years have changed the hospitality and communications industries in ways we never thought possible,” said Partner Sarah Evans. “With 20Two Studio, we’re able to offer the authentic spirit of an entrepreneurial start-up, powered by C-level experience and a strong-hold of back office operations. This allows our account teams to focus solely on client service.”

Evans goes on to say, “Over the last 15 years, Lauren has continually driven growth within J/PR through business and employee development, which makes her perfectly poised for success with 20Two Studio.”
