Global Crossing Airlines Inc., operating as GlobalX (OTC:JETMF), a new Miami-based airline launching in 2021, has selected Zapwater Communications as its first U.S. public relations and social media agency of record.
Working alongside GlobalX’s marketing team and CEO Ed Wegel, Zapwater will develop and execute a public relations campaign to support GlobalX’s 2021 launch in the North American, Latin American, and Caribbean markets.
GlobalX has recently finalized the acquisition of its first two Airbus A320 family of aircraft for delivery in January 2021, and following FAA Certification as a U.S. flag carrier and DOT approval, will begin both scheduled and ad-hoc charter operations from Miami to markets throughout the Americas.

Zapwater has extensive experience working in the airline industry, having represented several global world class airlines in Europe and Asia airlines, and they know our space well.”
Zapwater, which has won close to 200 awards for its creative campaigns, specializes in working with new and emerging brands within the travel and tourism industry. As part of Zapwater’s scope of work for GlobalX, the agency will be supporting all launch activities including media relations, events, and partnerships. The account will be based out of Zapwater’s Miami office and supported by President David Zapata in the main Chicago office.
