Richard Millar, H+K Global President, said, “I am delighted that Avra is joining our team in the US after leading our consumer-packaged goods sector in London for the past seven years. I worked very closely with Avra in London and am excited to collaborate on the US’s ongoing transformation and continued revenue growth acceleration.”

In her new role, Lorrimer will focus on driving growth in the office, further build H+K New York’s capabilities and talent mix and build a culture where everyone is recognized, respected and empowered.

“With H+K US continuing to grow at an accelerated rate, it’s an exciting time to take on this new role in New York where our Creative and Innovation Hub is headquartered,” said Lorrimer, Executive Vice President. “There is so much opportunity and growth in New York and I am fully confident we will serve it with our great mix of capability and talent.”

Led by Global President Richard Millar, Lorrimer will join the US Leadership team, which also includes Lisa Cradit, Rebecca Fannin, Nancy Fitzsimmons, James Fuller, Peter Greer, Larry Krutchik,Marvin Singleton, Liz Torrez, and Vikki Willimott.

In addition to her seven-year tenure as Managing Director of Consumer-Packaged Goods at H+K London and the WPP PR lead for Ford of Europe, Lorrimer previously worked as an Associate Director at Ogilvy and Edelman. She has helped clients to progress from an earned-only mentality to developing integrated communications campaigns and cut through content that delivers across paid, earned, shared and owned channels.

The results of her work have been successful from a commercial and communications perspective and recognized with industry awards including the Drum’s Marketing Can Change the World award for Duracell’s battery recycling program, the Drum’s Marketing Global Brand Strategy of the Year for Pampers/UNICEF ‘one pack=one vaccine’ and an Effie for Febreze’s ‘Road Trip from Smell.

Orla Moran

Moran was previously at Golin where she was an executive director in their consumer team. She co-led the consumer team in the UK, running flagship accounts including Magnum ice cream, Lipton, Garmin, npower and Just Eat and providing counsel to clients at a local, regional and global level.

Her appointment comes as the CPG team builds on the growth shown in the practice in 2019. Moran takes over from Avra Lorrimer, who is now leading H+K’s New York office.

Moran said: “After a brilliant time at Golin, I’m excited to have joined the talented team at H+K and am enjoying getting under the skin of the diverse range of clients we have here in the CPG practice. Our work here covers everything from behavioral change campaigns to corporate sustainability counsel and everything in between, all the while helping a brand drive its cultural relevance. The industry faces a rapidly changing set of challenges and opportunities and the team is perfectly placed to lead clients in navigating today’s world. I look forward to taking the practice into its next chapter.”

Simon Whitehead, H+K UK CEO, said: “Over the years, Avra has been instrumental to driving the growth and diversification of our consumer goods portfolio, and we wish her the very best with her new role in the US. Orla’s leadership experience in the consumer team at Golin makes her the perfect fit to pick up from Avra and continue to lead the team’s expansion.”
