Impact PR & Communications recognized as tops in media relations at 2020 PRSA Mercury Awards

by | Dec 2, 2020

Hudson Valley public relations and marketing firm Impact PR & Communications, Ltd. has done it again, securing a 2020 Gold Award in the Media Relations category at the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2020 Mercury Awards, hosted annually by the Greater Connecticut and Westchester/Fairfield chapters. The agency has taken home a dozen awards from PRSA to-date, with its latest award-winning campaign, “Putting Live, Work, Play on the Map in New York’s Hudson Valley,” executed on behalf of Eastdale Village.

“In an increasingly competitive media landscape, and at a time when news moves at warp speed, it’s especially exciting to be recognized for our team’s media relations skills,” said Filomena Fanelli, CEO and founder of Impact PR & Communications. “Eastdale Village is making history as the largest construction project in Poughkeepsie in more than 30 years and the first of its kind in Dutchess County, and we loved sharing that story.”

Mercury Award winners were selected by a panel of 25 professional members of the North Carolina Chapter of PRSA. The panelists evaluated each entry on a numerical scale, and awarded the honors virtually, according to rank. Through PRSA CT’s website and social media channels, Impact PR & Communications received public recognition and digital tributes in lieu of an in-person award ceremony.
