KYNE Expands Presence to London; Joanne Wunder to Lead European Practice

by | Feb 22, 2019

KYNE, a specialty health communications agency, announced the expansion of its presence in Europe with the establishment of a London office, building on the company’s global headquarters in Dublin. Joanne Wunder, formerly of InVentiv Health (now Syneos Health), will serve as Managing Director and Head of Europe, reporting to David Kyne, founder and CEO. Wunder will lead both the Dublin and London offices, which will work in partnership to service European-based clients and the firm’s ongoing work in Africa; growth of KYNE’s global digital offering will continue to be led from Dublin. The new London office is located in the heart of the Thames-side Hammersmith area, in the brand-new Foundry building.

“The appointment of Joanne and our expansion to London is exciting for many reasons, including the ability to tap into a strong talent pool in London under Jo’s leadership, which will further strengthen our European presence,” said Kyne. “Having partnered closely together over the past 18 months, I am thrilled to have Jo lead the charge in servicing our growing roster of global biopharmaceutical and public health clients based in Europe and to develop and foster our expanding team.”

Prior to joining KYNE, Wunder was European Managing Director for PR at inVentiv Health, leading a portfolio of agencies to provide strategic brand communications to biopharmaceutical clients. As a Business Unit Head at Ogilvy Healthworld, she led global brand and disease awareness campaigns as well as the Social Media Practice, delivering award-winning campaigns to her clients. Wunder has deep experience across a wide variety of therapeutic areas including diabetes, mental health, neuroscience, rare disease, respiratory, rheumatology and vaccines.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to come on board in this new capacity and to help further establish KYNE’s European offering,” said Wunder. “We have a strong team of passionate, creative communications professionals, and a nimble, flexible approach to health challenges that is truly differentiating. We see exciting opportunities for growth in both locations in Europe and we are committed to expanding the team and taking on new challenges.”

The agency is actively recruiting for positions in London and Dublin to support multiple new European-based clients in the pharmaceutical and non-profit sectors and drive new business efforts. In addition, several full-time hires are projected across the firm in the coming months as KYNE continues to bolster its digital and creative services and expand teams across the globe, including in a number of African countries.
