Lambert Hires Jordan Hoyer as General Counsel, Lisa Wilkes as Senior Director of Talent and Culture

by | Jul 19, 2019

After a year of rapid growth and a major rebrand, Lambert & Co., Michigan’s largest public relations and investor relations firm, announced two new additions to its team: Jordan Hoyer, Esq., general counsel, and Lisa Wilkes, SHRP-CP, PHR, senior director of talent and culture. Hoyer and Wilkes will support Lambert’s growing workforce and family of companies, including Sterling, Michigan’s premier public affairs and fundraising consultancy, and Blicksilver PR, a New York-based strategic financial communications and investor relations consulting firm.

After supporting Lambert previously in private practice, Hoyer joins the firm as a member of the leadership team to provide legal and business counsel as well as strategic counsel to clients of the firm with a specialization in issues and crisis management, corporate change and investor relations. Before joining Lambert, Hoyer litigated commercial and financial service disputes in state and federal courts and in facilitative mediation, and also worked on business law and M&A. Additionally, Hoyer previously worked as a partner and managing attorney for the Midwest for Dallas-based Talcott Franklin P.C., as an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, and in the United Nations’ Office of Administration of Justice.

“Jordan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Lambert to support our growth and M&A and to also support our clients experiencing growth, change or issues,” said founder and CEO Jeff Lambert. “As a pioneer among independent public relations firms globally with an in-house general counsel, we believe she will be a major asset to our strategic importance to clients and bring an expanded lens to our leadership team to drive operations and profitability.”

Lambert also welcomes Wilkes, who joins the firm after providing human capital management consulting for small and middle-market companies throughout the U.S. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing talent strategies; career pathing and professional development; and administrative support for payroll, benefits and labor compliance. In her new role, Wilkes will be responsible for creating programming to help foster a coaching culture and “meta performance™” at Lambert that consists of accountability, training and support. Wilkes joined Lambert from a national management consulting firm First Perform, and previously worked for a large Chicago-based healthcare company as a HR business partner.

“I am happy to welcome Lisa to our expanding team,” said Don Hunt, Lambert’s president and managing partner. “We have a strong team-based culture here at Lambert and Lisa’s experience and deep commitment to others will accelerate both our talent development and talent pipeline. We look forward to taking further strides in making Lambert an employer of choice and the leading destination for talent.”
