Magrino announced four new clients. Casa Cruz, Hudson Yards Grill, SusieCakes and Venturini Baldini all join the agency’s roster of lifestyle clients in the areas of food and wine.
Esteemed New York Chef Michael Lomonaco offers his signature approach to grilled classics and everyday favorites at Hudson Yards Grill. An approachable American brasserie, the restaurant features thoughtfully-prepared, seasonal dishes made with carefully curated ingredients. A robust wine program highlights unique vintages from around the world, alongside artfully re-imagined traditional cocktails and craft beers. The menu’s staples ensure there is something for everyone, no matter the time of day, including ML’s 10 oz. Blend Aged Prime Beef Bacon Cheddar Burger, the ML Caesar Salad, assorted sushi rolls, and pastas. In addition, Lomonaco has brought his “best of” items from his Time Warner Center restaurant Porter House to the tables of Hudson Yards Grill, including prime cuts of NY Strip Steak and Rib Eye, as well as Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Sea Scallops, and a plentiful raw bar.
Restaurateur Juan Santa Cruz, best known for his hotspots Casa Cruz and Isabel in London, is bringing his namesake venue Casa Cruz to New York’s Upper East Side in the Fall of 2020. A favorite of the Beckhams and Elton John in London, Juan Santa Cruz opened Casa Cruz in 2015 and it has since become a mainstay in Notting Hill. Following a successful pop-up in New York in 2016, where Santa Cruz tested the concept on New Yorkers at Spring Place, he has now solidified plans to bring the concept to NYC next year, located in a beautiful beaux-arts townhouse at 36 East 61st. Casa Cruz will span several floors and include multiple bar/lounge and dining rooms, in addition to a full floor of private dining & events space with double height ceilings. Everything, from the architecture to the interiors, serve ware, and uniforms, has been designed and curated by Santa Cruz himself, with copper, mahogany and deep greens dominant in the design. The menu will blend flavors of the Mediterranean and South America, pulling from Santa Cruz’s Argentinean roots, but will also have nods to New York classics. Casa Cruz will be an all-day destination, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a robust beverage program throughout.
SusieCakes’ Founder, Susan Sarich, grew up in Chicago where she was called Susie by her two beloved grandmothers, Mildred and Madeline. Every day Susie would come home from school to enjoy her grandmothers’ company over a glass of milk and a fresh baked treat. This daily baking ritual and special time together in the kitchen left a lasting impression. When Susie grew up to become Susan and moved to the West Coast, she brought along her grandmothers’ carefully recorded recipes on handwritten 3×5” cards, and SusieCakes was born with the goal of connecting through celebration. The first bakery opened in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2006 and since then, the company has steadily expanded to include locations throughout California, from San Diego to San Francisco, as well as six locations in Texas. All SusieCakes treats are made from scratch daily by in-house bakers at each location, using only the freshest & finest ingredients available. There is no use of mixes, artificial preservatives, high-fructose corn syrups or trans-fats in any SusieCakes products. “If you can’t spell it, we don’t bake with it,” says Susan.
