Narrative Strategies Launches In-House Creative Services Division, Adds Tom Dunn as Creative Director

by | Feb 7, 2022

Narrative Strategies announced the launch of its creative services division, a major expansion of capabilities that will offer a full suite of in-house production services for paid advertising and other video and content production across all platforms, including television, digital, and radio. Narrative also announced the addition of veteran ad maker Tom Dunn as Creative Director. Dunn will lead the creative services team and provide an expanded set of tools that will enhance Narrative’s ability to help clients tell visually compelling stories, meet their reputation-building, advocacy, and educational objectives, and develop award-winning public affairs campaigns. Dunn’s hiring marks the latest addition to Narrative’s senior team following significant growth in 2021.

“Our new in-house creative services team gives Narrative’s clients an edge in developing and executing large-scale public affairs campaigns, winning legislative battles, and managing their brands with audiences,” said Narrative Strategies Founding Partner Ken Spain. “We are now a one-stop shop that provides clients with a full suite of capabilities – including paid advertising, research, media relations, digital, and grassroots mobilization – to own and drive their story-telling objectives. With more than a decade of experience as an award-winning ad maker and communicator, Tom has a long track record of success that makes him the ideal person to push the boundaries for what is possible at our firm. He immediately adds exponential value to our team and clients.”

Dunn joins Narrative after a decade at OnMessage, Inc., one of the country’s leading political consulting firms. As OMI’s Creative Director, Dunn produced ads for many of the country’s highest-profile candidates, political committees, and issue campaigns. His work has been seen in all 50 states and received more than 40 industry awards. Dunn was also named to the “40 Under 40” class of 2019 by the American Association of Political Consultants. Prior to joining OMI, Dunn served as Media Operations Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee and worked on Capitol Hill, handling energy and environment issues for Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA). Dunn is a graduate of Shippensburg University and served on its Board of Trustees.

Laragh Cronin also joins Narrative as an Associate after interning for the firm in 2021. Cronin previously worked as an editor at MediaFile and was an intern for Hill.TV, as well as Virginia Delegate Mark Sickles (D-43). She is a recent graduate of George Washington University with a degree in political communication.
