Omnicom Public Relations Group Taps Michele Chase as its First Chief People Officer

by | Jan 26, 2022

Omnicom Public Relations Group (OPRG), a division of Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), announced it has named Michele Chase as its first Chief People Officer (CPO), effective January 2022. Against an industry backdrop of increasing competition for talent, Chase will work with leadership teams across the company’s agencies to drive a people strategy and will play a key role in redefining the future of the workplace to ensure that the OPRG agencies are the destination for the best people. She will report to OPRG CEO Chris Foster.

In this newly created role, Chase will have global responsibility for all aspects of people engagement, experience and talent management. This scope includes human resources, culture, strategic workforce planning and development, talent acquisition and retention across OPRG’s network of 14 agencies and more than 6,300 people worldwide.

“The better our talent, the greater the value we deliver to our clients,” said Foster. “That’s why we are excited to add Michele to our leadership team. She is a highly respected and influential industry leader, with the perfect expertise to help create a working community dedicated to shaping the future of communications and serving clients in bold new ways.”

Chase brings more than 20 years’ experience in all facets of people strategy in the PR and communications industry, most recently serving as Global Executive Director at GroupM Worldwide. Previously, Chase held HR leadership positions at BCW and Teneo.

“We are living in a time of unprecedented reflection and redefinition in and around the working world,” said Chase. “I am thrilled to join OPRG and Chris’s leadership team to help shape the ‘new world-class workplace’. It’s an amazing opportunity to join this dynamic team.”
