“Powerhouse Communications is known for supporting a variety of top-notch brands, but the firm’s impressive client roster is just one part of an exceptional agency portfolio that includes deep communications experience, strategic expertise, tactical excellence and executional knowhow – underpinned by talented team members and passionate executive leadership,” said Twer. “I am proud to join the Powerhouse team, and I am eager to leverage my more than two decades of professional experience in helping to reinforce and expand the Powerhouse brand along with its agency footprint.”

Twer has held executive-level positions at prominent global and national public relations firms leading award-winning communications initiatives for some of the world’s most recognized consumer brands, including Ford Motor Company, Allstate, Mazda, Iams and Suzuki. He is an accomplished senior-level writer, media strategist, creative collaborator and thought-leader. Throughout his career, the East Coast native has managed communications efforts that have increased sales, awareness, market share and overall business success for clients across numerous industries.

At Powerhouse, Twer oversees an array of client-service functions including strategic counsel, media relations, copywriting, message development, crisis communications and planning. Additionally, he is helping to steer the agency from the inside, applying leadership experience and training in critical areas such as business planning, technical writing and crisis management.

“We are thrilled to have Kevin on the team and considering his significant experience and track record for success, I am confident in the impactful contributions he will make to the agency – in the near-term and long into the future,” said Daher. “As we execute on our growth and diversification plans, our expanding client list is being complemented by a flourishing roster of talented professionals like Kevin with impressive backgrounds that are perfectly aligned with our vision for the future.”

In addition to naming Twer as EVP, recent personnel changes at the agency have included the promotion of Kathryn Kelly to Account Manager. Kelly, who joined Powerhouse Communications in 2020, leads a cross-section of restaurant, health/wellness, technology and consumer product accounts, delivering impressive results at every turn. She also continues to demonstrate key leadership skills and attributes, effectively managing and mentoring junior team members as they grow within the agency.  Powerhouse also recently announced the hire of Kristyna Otto as an Account Executive. Otto, an experienced PR agency professional and graduate of Chapman University, will support a variety of restaurant-industry clients in deploying the agency’s multifaceted communications menu that includes media relations, social media, influencer campaigns and more.
