Republica, a Miami-based independent marketing and communications agency, marks its 11th anniversary having recently won a total of 27 industry awards, including three national ADDY Awards, nine W³ Awards, and 15 Davey Awards. The awards honor excellence in creative, social and digital.
Republica brought home 15 Daveys, including five GOLD, for its campaigns on behalf of clients Segura Viudas Cava, NBCUniversal Telemundo, Sedano’s Supermarkets, and The Tank Brewing Company, as well as pro-bono client, Amigos For Kids. The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts’ (AIVA) Davey Awards is an international competition focused on honoring outstanding creative work worldwide with nearly 4,000 entries from across the globe.
“As Republica turns 11, bringing home 27 national and international awards is a major feat and a testament to the caliber of the work our team continues to produce. We thank our clients for the trust and confidence,” said Jorge A. Plasencia, Republica’s co-founder, chairman and CEO.
Republica won nine W³ Awards for the agency’s vast global advertising, social and communications campaign for Segura Viudas Cava—a portfolio brand of Freixenet USA. The W³ Awards honor creative excellence on the web, including websites, web video and online marketing programs.
“Managing one of the largest sparkling wine brands in the world, it is critical for us to work with an agency partner that understands the importance of linking a cohesive global campaign platform with the intricate nuances of local market strategies. While working with our República family, our brand continues to exceed the category’s growth rate, and we look forward to many more years of partnership and accolades,” said Jane Scott, vice president of marketing, Freixenet USA.
The agency also earned three National ADDYs, American Advertising Awards, for “No Fear,” the public service campaign Republica created for pro-bono client Amigos For Kids. Amigos For Kids is a non-profit with a mission of child abuse prevention as well as providing services to underprivileged children and families. The ADDY Awards are the industry’s premier recognition by the American Advertising Federation. To be a contender for a National ADDY, the work must first have won at both the regional (district) and local levels.
“Great work has to deliver, and all of these awards are for campaigns that have been successful for our clients,” added Luis Casamayor, Republica’s co-founder and president.
