Tangible, an international marketing communications agency for startups, announced that it has been retained by the SOV Development Foundation for content marketing and media relations in the UK and EMEA. Tangible will develop and implement the PR strategy around the Timed Release Monetary Issuance (TRMI) of the Marshall Islands’ national digital currency, the Sovereign or SOV.
The SOV Development Foundation is the non-profit organisation responsible for the distribution and development of the SOV. It also oversees the design, development and implementation of the SOV chain, the Sovereign’s underlying blockchain infrastructure.
Dr Peter Dittus, board member of the SOV Development Foundation and Chief Economist at SFB Technologies, said: “Tangible will play an important role in raising awareness globally of the Sovereign and helping people understand its many benefits. We turned to Tangible for its deep domain knowledge of digital currencies, specialist expertise and flexible cross-border capabilities.”
“The SOV breaks new ground as it paves the way for a fair, sustainable payment system,” noted Montieth M. Illingworth, founder of Tangible. “We’re excited to be part of the team that supports the Republic of the Marshall Islands in becoming the first nation to adopt a digital legal tender. We look forward to creating and executing a PR strategy that illustrates the value of the SOV, not only for the financial community but for the entire Marshallese society.”
