Los Angeles, May 8, 2025Hopscotch USA – the communications agency of record for NVIDIA’s consumer portfolio in the US – has been hired by Olyn to increase visibility and presence stateside.

Olyn is a technology solution that enables filmmakers, studios and producers to distribute their films direct-to-consumer, free from the gatekeeping algorithms of modern platforms. With a single URL, creators can capture demand in pre-production, reach funding milestones in post and sell premieres on their own terms, paying dividends in the long run.

California-based Olyn — founded by Ana Maria Jipa, Malcolm Wood, Jeremías Buireo and Kiran Thomas— allows filmmakers to retain up to 90% of their revenue while giving audiences seamless access to content streaming. Instead of films being sold to platforms like Netflix, the model leans on the marketing budget of the filmmakers themselves combined with influencers, film critics and content creators acting as distribution partners. All parties can embed purchase links within their content, blogs, and social channels, earning affiliate commissions as they go.

This partnership comes on the back of Hopscotch USA’s recent campaign for the Olyn-hosted movie Midas Man, which featured a launch event in LA and a PR and influencer campaign across the US, Mexico and Canada.

Olyn co-founder and board director Malcolm Wood commented: “ We’ve seen a huge surge in interest from filmmakers wanting to use our platform — far beyond what we anticipated. It confirms there’s real appetite for an alternative to the outdated and broken distribution model. Since our launch in January, the demand from creators of all sizes has been overwhelming. We’re excited to partner with Hopscotch in the US as we expand this movement — one that puts filmmakers back in control and lets audiences discover films through trusted peer recommendations, not opaque algorithms.”

Olyn joins Hopscotch USA’s growing roster of clients across tech, hospitality, travel and entertainment, which includes NVIDIA, Hogan Assessments, Visit Valencia, Wamba Technologies, Pixmob and Ingenico.

Laura Crompton, Business Director of Hopscotch USA, added: “We were lucky enough to launch Midas Man in January as the first feature film to embrace Olyn’s groundbreaking distribution model. We saw for ourselves not only how well the model works for filmmakers and audiences alike, but how it offers a true alternative to the streaming norms that dominate distribution today. We are passionate about Olyn and we’re looking forward to helping elevate its presence further as a game-changing solution for the industry.”

Hopscotch USA is part of the global communications group Hopscotch, headquartered in Paris, and with global presence across 60 countries and five continents.
