Stuntman, a rapidly emerging Manhattan-based hospitality public relations agency, has been named as the U.S. Agency of Record for the Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Consortium for 2019.
Stuntman PR will implement a fully integrated U.S. media relations campaign for Parmigiano Reggiano to strengthen the product image of “the King of Cheeses” stateside and to broadly raise awareness for the distinctiveness of a Made-in-Italy icon that has more than nine centuries of history and a recipe that has never changed over time. Stuntman will work in collaboration with San Francisco-based Ponte, which currently serves as the marketing agency of record for Parmigiano Reggiano in the U.S.
“The Stuntman team has demonstrated great enthusiasm and passion for Parmigiano Reggiano and its area of origin. For these reasons, we feel cared and well-represented. The agency is truly proactive, suggesting suitable locations for events, partnerships and story angles to tell our story in the market—which is critical for communication,” said Fabrizio Raimondi, the head of global communication for Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, and CEO of the agency Mind the Pop.
“In the U.S., it is essential to have a good agency to understand what are taking the right steps to communicate to the best values of the product in order to get a good coverage,” added Raimondi.
The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium had previously engaged Stuntman for an initial project in the latter part of 2018. The agency organized a successful U.S. press event in collaboration with Two Michelin star chef Michael White at his restaurant Osteria Morini. Stuntman had also arranged and led a delegation of American journalists to visiting Italy’s Food Valley of Emilia Romagna, home of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese production; the fall press tour allowed a group of elite journalists to personally experience the naturalness and authenticity of the King of Cheeses.
For more than 900 years, Parmigiano Reggiano has been produced exclusively in the Italian provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena and parts of the provinces of Mantua and Bologna, on the plains, hills and mountains enclosed between the rivers Po and Reno. From these deep roots in a protected and respected environment, come the unique qualities, which characterize the “king of cheeses.”
