Tech PR Agency ARPR Grows Cloud Practice Group, Adds Blair Ruth Riley as New Practice Director

by | Jul 19, 2019

ARPR, an award-winning tech PR agency at the epicenter of the future of PR, announced the addition of three high-growth technology clients to its portfolio of global innovators. Due in part to these new clients, the agency’s Cloud Practice Group grew 126% in the first half of 2019. To continue guiding client success and portfolio growth in an industry projected to grow 17.5 percent in 2019 alone, Blair Ruth Riley was hired to serve as the agency’s first cloud practice group director.

Recent client additions to the ARPR cloud practice group include:

  • Buildertrend – the leading cloud-based software provider for home builders, remodelers and specialty contractors.
  • Dematic – a leading supplier of integrated automated technology, software and services to optimize the supply chain.
  • Rubikloud – a world leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning technology for enterprise retailers. Based in Toronto.

These three software companies, among others, chose ARPR for its understanding of the technologies they’re built on, industry challenges they’re solving, the verticals they sell into as well as the agency’s Panorama Approach, which tightly integrates traditional public relations, social media, content marketing and lead generation to drive measurable results.

“After an extensive search of PR agency partners, we selected ARPR due to their creative proposal, high energy and deep experience with high-growth SaaS companies. They were the only agency in our search to demonstrate how media relations supports the lead generation process,” said Megan Longo, director of marketing at Buildertrend. “Our account team has hit the ground running, demonstrating progress and results immediately – becoming a true extension of our marketing team.”

“We’re excited to welcome Blair Ruth, who will work closely with our cloud clients and their account teams, providing strategy, guidance and meaningful results,” said ARPR’s CEO Anna Ruth Williams. “As the 8th fastest-growing PR agency in the U.S., we sought a leader who was seasoned in high-caliber client service, yet agile and entrepreneurial enough to foster this practice group’s tremendous growth. We found that in Blair Ruth.”

Riley brings a decade of deep B2B and B2C technology experience representing clients like HP Inc. and Panasonic during her tenure with global agency Porter Novelli. Her work with HP included customer-focused communications supporting a hybrid of B2B product and SaaS offerings, where she led global strategy and collaborated with client teams in every major region – even serving a stint in London. She has a passion for strategic storytelling and has worked with publications representing almost every trade vertical, as well as with national U.S. tech and business media like Gizmodo, Fast Company, Bloomberg and Financial Times.

“As investor and buyer confidence in cloud software companies soars, vendors must differentiate themselves in a complex and saturated marketplace,” Riley commented. “ARPR’s cloud practice group helps our clients’ reputations thrive and their sales pipelines prosper by mapping all communications back to the sales funnel, and that’s what sets ARPR apart from other tech PR players. There is not an industry that cloud technology doesn’t touch and it’s literally transforming how we live and do business. It’s an exciting time to be working in the cloud space, with a tech PR agency that’s driving major business growth of its own.”
