According to the Texas Festival & Events Association, the impact of festivals and special events on the communities they serve is multifaceted. Their power to be an economic engine, generating direct spending by unique visitors and the redistribution of that wealth through the community, is well-documented. Events of all sizes, from small community gatherings to mega-festivals, infuse new dollars into the economy, generate jobs and create significant tax revenues.
“This competition is near and dear to our hearts, as Cottonwood Art Festival and Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival support the communities we serve while also allowing our creative juices to run a little faster,” says Amy Hall, president of The Barber Shop Marketing, said, “Our agency has been working with the City of Richardson on these festivals for almost a decade and is continues to be an honor.”
