Agency’s digital & creative expertise, strategic approach, and “hometown” passion set it apart

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (June 1, 2023) – Following a highly competitive search, The Valentine – a premier local history and culture museum based in Richmond, Virginia – has selected Padilla as its digital marketing agency partner. Padilla is leading the effort to overhaul the museum’s website ahead of The Valentine’s 125th anniversary and upcoming exhibitions later this year.

Padilla is building a strategic digital approach spanning information architecture, UX and design to strengthen connections with The Valentine’s audience of online and in-person museum guests, donors, walking tour enthusiasts, history buffs, educators, and students.

“We wanted an agency partner with experience creating unique and engaging digital platforms that could help us build lasting relationships with our visitors,” said The Valentine’s Director, Bill Martin. “The Valentine strives to tell great Richmond Stories and be a welcoming place for everyone. Padilla is a ‘hometown’ team who understands our mission and how to best connect with our diverse audience and community.”

The Valentine has been collecting, preserving, and interpreting Richmond Stories for more than a century. The museum explores the complicated and nuanced history of the Richmond region to challenge and inspire a diverse audience. Through bold exhibitions, innovative tours, special events, school programs, and research, The Valentine facilitates courageous and inclusive conversations about Richmond’s past to help inform the museum’s future.

“Partnering with The Valentine is an exciting opportunity for our team to help the museum transform with purpose through courageous conversations and communications that make a positive impact for all visitors,” said Matt Kucharski, Padilla president. “Transformation is not possible without innovation and we’re well-suited to support The Valentine’s mission to engage with audiences today and for future generations.”
