28 April 2023 / Washington DC – Leading global strategic communications advisory firm FGS Global announced seasoned public affairs leader, tech communications expert and Obama White House alum, Sarah Potts Ashton, will be joining as a managing director. Ashton brings 15 years of extensive corporate communications and government relations expertise to the firm and will advise a diverse portfolio of FGS Global clients on their policy and corporate communications efforts.
“Sarah’s impressive strategic chops, coupled with her understanding of the policy landscape, highly regulated industries and the dynamics of campaigns, makes her an invaluable asset to have in our corner as we help our clients tackle challenges in today’s complex landscape,” said FGS Global partner Jennifer Loven. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the team and eager for her expertise to elevate the work we do for our clients.”
Ashton comes to FGS Global from app-based delivery company Gopuff, where she served as Global Director for Policy Communications & CSR. Prior to her tenure at Uber, Ashton served as the Director of the White House’s Climate Action Champions Program, launched by former President Barack Obama, to accelerate local climate action, identify gaps in federal funding and develop inter-agency solutions to support and scale community climate programs. She also previously served in a series of roles at the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and the Clinton Climate Initiative.
