Brownstein Group’s Social Media and Public Relations teams grow with digitally-forward clients

by | Sep 3, 2020

Reflecting shifting consumer trends and a changing world economy, Brownstein Group’s Public Relations and Social Media practices have recently engaged with two growing direct-to-consumer (D2C) companies and a groundbreaking Philly-based esports brand. These three digitally-forward companies—Stargazer, The Million Roses, and Nerd Street Gamers—bring new energy to the work of the agency and prove the appeal of Brownstein’s media relations and social media capabilities for some of the country’s most innovative brands.

Home cooking has been on the rise since people started spending more time at home, a condition that created a strong opportunity to raise brand awareness for Stargazer, an American-made cast iron skillet that brings traditional cooking to the modern home. In order to achieve this, Pennsylvania-based Stargazer has partnered with Brownstein Group to leverage its media relations expertise to expand national awareness, educate and inspire home chefs, and drive sales of its high-quality, handcrafted skillets. The direct-to-consumer brand, founded by professional kitchenware designer Peter Huntley, will leverage Brownstein’s PR capabilities to build public awareness of its durable, performance-engineered, and practical skillets.

In Los Angeles, another successful D2C company, The Million Roses, sought to grow and adapt its U.S. organic social media strategy to meet consumers at home, and engaged Brownstein to accomplish this task. The Million Roses offers preserved roses, allowing consumers to provide long-lasting and high-end luxury gift experiences to those they love. Brownstein will develop The Million Roses’ organic social strategy and manage the company’s social media channels to elevate the brand as a premier product with one-of-a-kind design and superior customer service.

Back in Philadelphia, Brownstein has also started working with Nerd Street Gamers, the national esports infrastructure company dedicated to powering competitive opportunities for gamers. Brownstein will spearhead Nerd Street Gamer’s media relations and thought leadership programs to reach national and regional media, and target audiences in current key markets (including Austin, LA, Denver, and Philly), and throughout their continued national expansion in new markets. With the global esports industry expected to surpass $1 billion in revenues this year, Nerd Street Gamers is prepared to grow its community of esports athletes and use its Localhost facilities to provide better access to this growing sport to gamers all over the country.

“Stargazer, The Million Roses, and Nerd Street Gamers are companies that are unique in the way they are digitally meeting their audiences at this time,” says Laura Emanuel, Director of Public Relations at Brownstein. “They represent a new breed of forward-looking, consumer-minded companies that are building community while meeting the social and practical needs of distanced consumers. Our recent work with them demonstrates the trust that digitally-forward companies are placing in Brownstein’s bold and brilliant ideas to strengthen their businesses and bring their brands to life.”
