Rubenstein Public Relations team delivers doughnuts to local EMS workers

by | Oct 12, 2020

The Rubenstein Public Relations team was recently making its way from Midtown to Washington Heights to the South Street Seaport. The team visited six Manhattan EMS Stations to practice the “Act of Giving” a little back to the emergency first responders who have worked tirelessly through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their mission was to sweeten the day for over 500 EMS workers. The Rubenstein Public Relations team, including Megan O’Malley, Roxanne Ducas, Rena Brand and Alan Segan, visited a total of six EMS stations to personally greet workers gathering for their morning shifts. Days of coordination with the EMS union office preceded the very successful doughnut drop off executed on October 6.

Thus, they needed to resupply at 6:30 a.m. after the initial drops for more doughnuts to deliver to the remaining stations.

From the East 20’s, they then journeyed to the uptown destinations, from West 172nd in Washington Heights to West 136th in Harlem, then on to East 97th and First in East Harlem, before making their way downtown on the FDR to just north of the South Street Seaport. EMS workers were surprised, and very grateful that RPR had taken the time to thank them, in a small way, for their relentless efforts to come to the aid of New Yorkers in these most difficult times. The smiles from everyone that they visited gave the RPR team great pleasure in doing a small good deed for these front-line workers.
