3rd Coast PR Awards Employee Promotions and Relocates to Chicago’s West Loop

Award-winning consumer PR agency, 3rd Coast PR, has announced the promotions of four employees who have played a vital role in the firm’s success over the last year. Each team member has contributed significantly to the launch of successful campaigns for clients including O-Cedar, Lakeshore Learning, Thermos, Nest, Sinomax and more.

“After years of forging a successful public relations firm, this group of people has shown me time and time again why I chose to be in this business,” said 3rd Coast President and CSO, Rich Timmons. “Their constant drive, eagerness, and work ethic has helped 3rd Coast grow significantly by cultivating positive relationships with both previous and new clients.”

Betsi Schumacher – Executive Vice President and Managing Director

Schumacher has been a crucial member of the 3rd Coast team since its founding and previously served as director of client services for six years. Betsi will be overseeing all elements of the agency and its growth in her new role.

“I have been working with Betsi since the beginning of her career and she has proven to be an invaluable member of our team, consistently exhibiting strong leadership and expertise within the industry,” said Timmons. “In her new position, our clients will further benefit from her creativity and strategic focus on growing their business.”

Rachel Johnson – Director of Client Services

Rachel has filled the role of director of client services. She started at 3rd Coast as an in 2015 and quickly moved up in the agency after demonstrating a strong ability to lead consumer campaigns that exceed client expectations. In her new role, Rachel will continue to oversee many of the agency’s clients while helping grow its roster of clients.

Madeline Zenz – Account Manager

Maddie was promoted after joining the agency in 2017 as a senior account executive. She shows exceptional media relations talents leading the Lakeshore Learning account, and will be taking on a larger role with additional projects including new client, Fenn Valley Winery.

Mary Kelly – Senior Account Executive

Mary started at 3rd Coast as an account executive in early 2017 and was promoted after demonstrating the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at a time while supporting the O-Cedar, Nest, Thermos, Sinomax and Fenn Valley accounts. This new role will allow her to take on a more senior client management role.

The personnel changes aren’t the only exciting changes happening with 3rd Coast PR. The agency recently moved from its Streeterville office to Co-Optim, a new and innovative co-working space in Chicago’s popular West Loop. The team is thrilled to be a part of the growing trend of companies setting up offices in shared works spaces and looks forward to enjoying the thriving West Loop neighborhood, says the firm.
