AGAR Strengthens Hospitality Services with New Hire

by | Sep 16, 2022

AGAR, the experiential company behind many of Cincinnati’s nationally and internationally acclaimed festivals, venues, bars, restaurants, and branded experiences, has expanded its team and services with a strategic new hire, Amy Lewis. As AGAR’s new Special Projects Director, Lewis will work closely with the company’s founders, Josh Heuser and Andrew Salzbrun, to develop world-class guest experiences for AGAR-owned venues and events.

With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Amy Lewis will bring expertise in project management and leadership to Ghost Baby (recently named one of The Best Bars in America by Esquire magazine), BLINK Cincinnati (the nation’s largest light, art, and projection mapping festival), and The Compendium’s first project (a boutique hotel in Cincinnati’s West End).

“Since AGAR’s inception, human connection has remained at the center of everything we do,” said Josh Heuser. “Our exponential growth has allowed us to invest in our hospitality services sector. Amy’s history and skillset will further support our focus on creating exceptional experiences.”

Lewis’ background is primarily rooted in entertainment and hospitality. Most recently as the General Manager of The Mountain Winery, a boutique AEG Presents vineyard/winery, concert, and event venue in the San Francisco Bay area, she carefully curated guest experiences and worked with world-renowned musicians at the venue’s intimate amphitheater. Additionally, she served as Director of Beverage at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City as well as General Manager for Live Nation venues in the Louisville, KY market. In Cincinnati, Lewis worked hand-in-hand with Jeff Ruby for over a decade to develop and ensure brand quality for more than 10 upscale steakhouses, restaurants, and nightclubs.

At AGAR, Lewis will work closely with Managing Partner, Andrew Salzbrun, to oversee artist communications, hospitality, and administrative organization for BLINK Cincinnati. Further, Lewis will work alongside Heuser to oversee Ghost Baby operations and ensure the quality of guest experience. Lastly, Lewis will lend her hospitality expertise by assisting in the development of The Compendium’s first project: a new hotel in partnership with FC Cincinnati. Lewis will work to ensure that The Compendium stays true to its mission of redefining spaces, places, and culture by creating a best-in-class guest experience.
