Luxury agency Quinn PR has won the real-estate and consumer lifestyle communications for Swiss Alpine Resort, Andermatt following a competitive pitch.
Quinn is tasked with raising awareness of Andermatt as a year-round destination through media relations, creative campaigns and sales-focused activity, in addition to supporting the destination on brand partnerships, sponsorships and events.
Stefan Kern, Chief Communications Officer, Andermatt Swiss Alps AG said: “The Quinn team is extremely well connected in our core areas and they understand the stages we are going through in the resort’s development as a year-round destination. We are eager to enhance our profile and drive our reputation forward.”
Quinn PR Founder and CEO Florence Quinn said: “Andermatt is being meticulously developed with an absolute understanding of luxury. It’s destined to become one of the most desirable mountain destinations worldwide.”
Nestled in central Switzerland’s Urseren Valley and just under two hours’ drive from Zurich, Andermatt has been undergoing a major redevelopment programme with CHF 1.46 billion of investment to date and another CHF 500 million planned to accelerate the development. When completed, the mountain resort town will feature six hotels, 42 luxury apartment buildings and Alpine villas.
Andermatt, already an acclaimed European ski destination with one of one of best snow records in the Alps and a cult following amongst skiers, also has an award-winning, 18-hole, 72-par Championship golf course and six Alpine passes for world-class cycling tours and training runs.
The town also features the five-star hotel The Chedi Andermatt and four Michelin stars across its restaurant-base. The 650-seat Andermatt Concert Hall, an architectural and acoustic masterpiece, is the highest elevation concert hall in Switzerland. Under the direction of music director and conductor, Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer, it is home to the distinguished Swiss Orchestra. With a focus on sustainability, Andermatt is harnessing water and wind to produce its own energy.
The account will be led by Quinn VP, Camila Gamero.
Andermatt Swiss Alps Group is part of Orascom Development Holding AG and minority shareholder of the ski operator Andermatt-Sedrun Sports AG, which is operated by Vail Resort Inc. The company operates 42 contemporary resorts across the US, Canada and Australia.
