APCO Worldwide has expanded its award-winning operations in Italy by opening an office in Milan, announced Brad Staples, CEO of APCO Worldwide.

“As Italy’s economic capital, Milan represents one of the most important cities in Europe for leading companies, both Italian and global,” said Staples. “We have a strong team of on-the-ground consultants in Milan, who work hand-in-hand with colleagues in Rome and across APCO’s robust global network. We’re very excited to announce our presence in the city and look forward to continuing to provide our clients with the best possible support.”

The Milan office is APCO’s second in Italy, adding to the firm’s long-established presence in Rome, and represents the newest addition to its global network of over 30 offices worldwide.

“APCO has been helping our clients succeed in Italy for nearly 20 years,” said Paolo Compostella, managing director, Italy. “The team has a proud track record of providing innovative solutions for many of the world’s largest companies. Our work in Italy stands at the nexus of communications and public affairs and opening our office in Milan is a natural consequence of that work. Milan is a modern, international and multi-cultural city and the diverse background of our growing team reflects its global nature. We couldn’t be more excited about the future.”

APCO has a strong team of consultants based in the new Milan office with expertise on a wide range of services, including corporate and product communications, social media and creative services, crisis communication and public affairs. The team also has in-depth expertise across a wide range of industries and sectors including technology, health care, luxury, transportation and logistics and foreign investment, among others.

In 2018, The Holmes Report named APCO’s EMEA region as its Public Affairs Consultancy of the Year.

The Milan office’s opening comes during a landmark year for APCO Worldwide, as 2019 represents the 35th anniversary year of its founding. Founded by Margery Kraus as a single-person operation in 1984, APCO has grown to a global advisory and advocacy communications consultancy with nearly 800 employees around the world.
