April 3rd intake for High Flyers PR Course now open for bookings

by | Jan 31, 2023

The current student cohort, comprised of ambitious practitioners from celebrated UK and international agencies and brands, have learned about everything from media pitching tips and creativity to truly understanding the commercial reality of the industry, and how to win new business.

The course has been created by best-selling PR industry author, agency founder and global speaker Rich Leigh with Alex Wilson, a former creative strategist and business development lead at Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

Over the course of ten easily-consumable video lessons presented by Rich Leigh, The High Flyers PR Course arms driven PR professionals with 0-4 years of industry experience with the tools and knowledge to help them succeed in their agencies, businesses and careers.

One current student said it’s ‘changed the way I look at PR!’.

More student testimonials and information about the new course intake, including how to book, can be found here: https://highflyersprcourse.com/sign-up-now-april-2023-pr-course/.

As the public relations industry adapts to hybrid models of working, many PR bosses are worried about the effect this will have on skills development, with one leading agency owner saying it has caused training to ‘take a backseat.’

Alongside Leigh and Wilson’s combined 25 years’ experience in PR, the course has been produced with extensive input from senior academics and some of the industry’s leading agency owners, brand marketers and learning and development teams. It offers a combination of theoretical and practical learning, helping students do their jobs better, but also teaching them the evidence-based theory that can help them make a compelling commercial case to anyone reluctant about investing in PR.

Students can enrol or be signed up at highflyersPRcourse.com, and the first lesson for the next intake will begin on Monday 3rd April.

The course includes:

  • 10 weekly online video lessons that can be watched at students’ convenience
  • Recommended reading, podcasts and guides
  • A vibrant Slack community where students can learn from their peers, build all-important connections, discuss the lessons, and get feedback on weekly mini-assignments
  • Regular online video calls with other students and the course creators
  • End of term assessment with grading and feedback

Rich Leigh, co-creator and the presenter of The High Flyers PR Course said,

“Our current crop of students really are a credit to their employers. We’ve been blown away with their ambition to learn and develop, and we’re incredibly proud of how the course is being received so far.

“What started as a project to create internal training has become something that professionals all around the world – and importantly, the agencies and brands they work for – are hugely benefiting from.”

Alex Wilson, co-creator of The High Flyers PR Course said,

“We’re absolutely thrilled with our first group of students, and we can’t wait to get more on board. For too long, PR has had a junior seat at the table, surrendering bigger budgets to other disciplines.

“Whether our students build their careers in agencies or in-house, we’re proud to be helping train a new generation who will be using their understanding of theory, effectiveness and modern measurement to earn the ear of organisations’ real decision-makers.”

Special rates for groups of four people or more can be discussed by emailing bookings@highflyersPRcourse.com.
