Agency adds Jillian Goger and Owen Lang to strengthen creative leadership and production capabilities as award-winning campaigns continue to gain national recognition

WASHINGTON, D.C.  — Avoq announced the addition of Jillian Goger as Senior Vice President, Group Creative Director, further strengthening the agency’s integrated creative team as it continues to deliver award-winning campaigns for clients across sectors.

Based in Avoq’s New York office, Goger brings more than a decade of experience leading creative work for some of the world’s most recognized brands. She joins Avoq from a career spanning agencies including TBWA\Chiat\Day, Droga5 and McCann New York, where she helped launch Peloton, relaunch the U.S. Army and lead brand transformation work for Hilton Hotels.

Avoq also recently welcomed Owen Lang as VP, Group Creative Director, Video, continuing the agency’s investment to build in-house production and post-production capabilities that enable teams to move with greater speed, agility and creative integration on behalf of clients.

“Jillian is the kind of creative leader who understands how to build work that gets attention because it earns relevance, while Owen brings the storytelling craft and production expertise that help great ideas reach their full potential,” said Kevin Richards, Partner and Chief Creative Officer. “We’ve always applied a consumer creative agency mindset to issue-based communications, and we’re thrilled to have Jillian and Owen helping shape what’s next for our creative team.”

Known for creating narratives that shape culture and spark conversation, Goger’s work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Adweek and The New York Times. She also serves as co-lead of The Public Works Assembly, an all-volunteer coalition dedicated to developing campaigns that advance the public good.

The additions come as Avoq’s creative practice continues to earn national recognition work. Most recently, the agency’s PBS Viewers Like Me campaign received seven ADDY Awards, including Best of Show in the American Advertising Federation’s Washington, D.C. competition before advancing to earn a Gold ADDY at the regional and national level for Online/Interactive Social Media Campaign. The campaign was built to elevate the voices of PBS viewers and celebrate the essential role public media plays in communities across the country.

“From our local AAF DC award show to the national stage, Avoq’s Gold Addys aren’t just awards, they’re proof that when passion meets bold vision, the whole industry takes notice.” says Louise Salas, AAF DC Board Member & Events Chair.

The PBS campaign also earned a Communicator Award for Best Campaign in Cause Marketing and a PRovoke SABRE Award for Best Campaign for Educational and Cultural Institutions.

Avoq’s work for Booz Allen was similarly recognized, earning Communicator Awards for Best Campaign Branding and Best Use of Animation, along with a PRovoke SABRE Award for Best Campaign for Institutional Image. Through the It’s In Our Code campaign, Avoq helped position Booz Allen as an advanced technology company, showcasing the innovation and technical expertise that drive its work across government and commercial sectors.

The agency’s broader momentum has also been recognized across the industry. This year, Avoq was named one of PRovoke Media’s 100 Best Agencies in the U.S. and included among Observer’s 50 Most Powerful PR Firms. Looking ahead, Avoq continues to expand its creative portfolio through integrated campaigns that connect strategic communications, public affairs, digital engagement and creative storytelling. The agency is currently developing several major campaigns, including its third consecutive year supporting the Ad Council and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s national prediabetes awareness initiative.
